Default 280 Prop Rotation

Question for the 280 - I thought these models like LH Hydromotive's or what is everyone else running ? RH or LH and what brand ?

Nothing wild for hp and Bravo 1 app - and stock X. dimension. I have seen a lot of 280's with Bravo 1 RH installed as well.

THX.

There were a few VR-1's that came from the factory with a left hand prop. Can't say that I heard of any 280's running a LH prop. Some 280 owners like Hydros other like Bravos.

My 280 with a 502 came with a right hand hydromotive 26. Never tried a left hand. Been running a left hand on theVR 1 not a big difference but it seems to like it.

John I run a stock rh 26 bravo one on my 2002 stock 496. This is the best all around prop imo. Good cruise speed, no blow out getting on plane, and.good wot. My boat came with a labbed 28 hydromotive. I didn't care for it was it would blow out trying to get on plane. I also ran a mercury labbed 28 bravo. I don't remember the cruise on it but it was a touch to much prop for my engine. I never tried a lh prop.

Thanks Guys. My 280 with Performance drive standard X has a RH 26 Bravo 1 NON labbed prop

it must be the VR1 I am thinking of from years ago about running a Hydro LH.

I was just thinking about pulling it out and getting it all ready to roll so wanted to ask about the prop. I might try a LH down the road to see if any change.

Hope everyone is doing well and your boats. The 4 th has killed me.

My VR1 came with a 28 B1 RH. Ran 73GPS w/ Kenny. Back here 70.8 best speed. With my labbed 30p B1 RH, I ran 75gps earlier this year full fuel and calm water. Low 70's all day with people, coolers and fuel. Just received the original 28 B1 back from Bblades with a custom lab for the VR1. Just need some nice water/weather to try it. Boating on a flood control lake sucks.... Fluctuating water levels means a lot of crap floating, not worth dinging the new prop.

I remember reading sometime ago that the 1 foot pad on the VR1 and the 290SC is offset with 6.5 inches to the port of the keel and 5.5 inches to the starboard to compensate for right hand turning propellers.

496HO with Whipple Stage 2 tune, turbulators removed, extensions on stock risers mixing water and exhaust at transom. Otherwise stock.
