Default 23 regal velocity

Could anyone tell me what speed this hull is capable of. Currently it's powered by a 454 approx 330 hp with a bravo and runs mid 60 ' s .

it's a 22 hull with a regal cap 22s are fast boats capable of 100 mph with the right driver it is definitely a drivers boat got to get it up on the pad and keep it there need to have hydraulic steering over 70 thou

I've got a cobalt 226 with a stock 7.4 mpi bravo 3. I consistently do 63 mph GPS. The cobalt might be a little heavier than the regal. I would guess nothing short of a 525 to get close to that speed. But then are you going to run out of hull. That's pretty fast for that size boat. Don't want to see you go air borne. It doesn't fly well

My old 23 Regal Velocity would run max of 72 (gps) with 454 mag. Great boat. If I recall correctly the 330hp did not come with hydraulic steering, please add that before adding more power.

I used to race a 22 velocity in A-class in the early 90's. I had a low 500hp small block turning 7200 rpm in it and it would run 94mph on radar. This is way before the newer propellers came out. With good hydraulic steering, a sportmaster drive and a 525 efi I will guarantee you could touch 100mph. Granted it takes a good driver who can keep it on its pad, but it will handle the speed nicely in calm or small chop. My boat was balanced, set up for racing and running 36inch tabs, but I could run thru the slop of Key West Harbor in the low 90's.

^^^Sounds like a hell of a ride !^^^

================

It is fact, as 777offshore shows, the 22 Velocity will be pretty much the fastest boat out there with a given horsepower. I've know several pleasure, non set up 22 Velocity's to run into the 70's with 310-320hp 5.7Lsmall blocks. Mild 383's into the 80's.

Isn't the Regal Velocity a 23 footer that has a ton more freeboard than the 22 velocity shown here?
