Thats great to hear because I just purchased a 390 exactly like the one in the BT 390 video and it didn't run no where near as impressive as the video claimed. My friend said my prop slip is about 23 percent which is about double what it should be. My boat has 32 p bravos on it. I have no idea why it has that prop. What prop do you currently run? Getting on plane is tricky because it feels like it cavitates really bad. Will the 30 p prop make that better? I'm definitely no gonna use the Hydro if makes getting on plane worse. I appriciate all of your input. I'm loving my Velocity.

Your 390 is a Poker Run edition from the cabin layout. Looks like the engine scoops were removed in favor of an after market vinyl covered pad. I bought my 390 new from Banyan Bay in Ft. Lauderdale and it came with 30" Merc Racing Labbed Bravos. They plane off great with no slippage under moderate throttle. The boat climbs up smothly around only 3250 RPM. Yes something is very wrong if your slipping 23%. I imagine your 32" props have been worked (cut down likely) to the point that they are no longer a good fit for the 390. Try stock 28 or 30 Bravos and take it from there. Lastly engine hour wise, you should replace your valve springs if they haven't already been replaced. Pressure check your headers as well and be very watchful of the belt driven fuel pump/water pump assembly. Besides the unreliable fuel pumps leaking fuel into the pump bearing's lube, if a water pump water seal goes the engine can ingest seawater through the fuel pump vacumn line -I found out the hard way! the 410Came with 28 pitch bravo propellers it did 80 miles an hour in the boat test right now I'm running 30 pitch 4 blades propellers they are hill marine sl4 bravo type. When I tried the 28s with the new engines. They cavitated but the props weren't right and showed signs of bent blades.

Do you guys know of anyone or company that makes a low profile wind shield? I appriciate all of the advise and input that you have all given me. Funny thing is I have some friends that say no way a 39 foot boat with 500's will ever run 80 plus mph. Can't wait to prove them wrong. My plan is to service the top ends and install closed cooling to protect the motors from the salt water as plan to keep this boat for a while. Can you post pics of your boats? Have a great day.

Where are you located? Best place to start would be Kenny at Let's Talk Boats. Kenny was the GM at Velocity Boats for many years. He is in Deland Florida. He can likely get the windscreen and install it.

Yes talk to Kenny first as he knows all the suppliers but be prepared for windshield sticker shock! Your boat has an optional race fairing (as does mine) which will have to be removed (bolts on) to install a windscreen. When I want to get out of the wind, I simply sit down (well when the seas are cooperative!). Check out the 39 "Tsunami 2" in the OSO classified which has a nice looking factory, low profile windscreen. That said I drove Tsunami a few times and didn't think the windscreen deflected that much more wind than my fairing when I was standing (I'm 6'2"). Yes the windshield transperancy was nice when seated! If I were you, I'd try a bolt on wind deflector first, see how that works out and save a bunch of money.

Listen to Revolocity. No windshield on mine either. Them things aren't cheap😐 here is pic of my boat. Not the coolest one out there and it was repainted. One is factory paint the other is the repaint red /white
