BPP, you definitely have the right hull but it sounds like the rigging is all wrong. With all that set back you should be at least an inch above the pad, to start. I had a 85 22 with a slightly modified and somewhat tired 1982 2.4 Mod VP carb motor with a 5 inch L&S 5 inch set back and had the tip of the cone about an inch above the bottom of the pad spinning a Mercury 26 chopper. Witha nice 2ft chop into the wind I would see 67-70. I now run a 26 Thoroughbred with twin V8 Rudes, I just bought this summer and the cones are dead even with the pad and the motors are hangin' on the transom. I haven't dialed it in yet. If you want to know how to make your boat go fast Ted @ Link's O/B in DE, he had a 22 with a 4.0 liter V8 Johnson with all kinds of set back that ran over 100.

Velocity the only way to FLY!!!!!
