What are you looking to know. I have a 1989 22 Velocity that was raced by Art Lilly and was called the Joker. Was thinking about seeling but now I might keep it, restore it and do some races over the summer. Here is a pic of it now.

I am asssuming that you are talking about the Regal Velocity.
I owned a 1990 and my friend had an identical 1989 , which were both called a 23'. Both had 454's. My had the magnum with full hydralic steering and his had the 454/330. My boat ran 75/72 and his ran 72/68 (speedometer/gps). His had a nose cone on the drive. Both were the same color, etc. I really enjoyed mine and he did to. We both upgraded to larger boats, since the lake we live on has been getting larger boats and rougher water.
They are good , fast, boats. The only thing I found that was of little concern, but noted, was that the boat wanted to porpoise a little at cruise speed around 40-45 in smooth water. I fixed this by adding trim tabs that I could use when in calm water. Hope this helps

I don't know too much about which ones were made by Regal and which weren't. I've seen some that said Regl Velocity and others that just said Velocity. VelocityMike, I saw your pics on S&F, great looking boat. I was looking for more info on the stern drive models, you don't see very many for sale. There is one that is for sale on the Boat Trader right now that says it's a 24', I didn't know that they made a 24' that looked like a streatched 22'

if it's a 23 or 24, than it's not a Stepp-designed boat...Regal made a runabout/cuddy that they added to the Velocity line....

of the Regals...only the 22 & 30 were Stepp designs....I had a 22 that was a real kick in the ass!..loved it...now have a 32 Vel/T-Bred race boat....which is another story all together!

there are some older threads somewhere that explain it all....

hope that made sense!
