Default Velocity 260 & 240

Hi Guys,

I am asking this for a neighbor who just picked up a 260 and for my own curiousity.

I notice that most 260's and 240's I see are not rigged with any tabs. Are they not needed with this hull? I have a 24 Superboat with k-planes and they make a big difference in handling in rough water.

I have my 280 for five years and have never felt I needed them (tabs). I have a 502 mag and boat in Lake Erie & Lake Huron.

I have a 260 and I want to get tabs, because when the boat is up on plane its very sensitve to weight. One person it rides flat, with a passanger riding shotgun it leans a little to port. You can get by with out them but it would be a nice addtion.

I have 28' no tabs I was told the boat does not need them . The only time I wish I had them was when I had 5 people in the boat in 6 footers.
