What mods have you done to your Velocity?
My 41 origianlly came with the tall 12" windshield. I really like the way the flip on the top worked but I hated the look. So I took it off and cut most of the bottom off it, painted white with Awlgrip and put it back on. Does a great job at getting the wind just over our heads. Also, that HUGE windshield really pushed down on the bow of the boat, I can run with a lot less trim now too. |

I really wanted cool air to the motors however in '96 the duct work in the hatch was not available on the 41. So, I added an extra naca-duct, including ductwork through the gunnel and made up polished stainless ducts that are bolted to the hatch. Also made psudo "velocity" stacks for the carbs to get the flame arrestors right in the duct. It really woke the engines up on the hot summer days.

When it gets cold in the fall, the 28 Bravos that normally spin to 5400 normally spin up to 6000 rpm. I really never finished the project, I have vents that I want to cut into the transom just above the rub rail to let a little more heat out of the engine compartment. |
very nice, I always hated those windshields. Thank God mine came without one:D
