This will be the 3rd one I haved owned .Nothing like these boats, in my opinion.

Re: Needs to Go
that 41' was Steve's boat originally wasn't it? Saw it for sale about 2 years ago? Looked a little ruff.
|
Re: Needs to Go
No it wasnt Steve's original boat. This was built for a guy in Fl in 1991 with the BIG FORD power and #3's. The boat is a little rough but give me some time and it will have a new identity. It was also the featured article in Powerboat magazine in April of 1991 and retailed for $291,000.

Re: Needs to Go

Re: Needs to Go
Hey Bob,
I know someone who can do all of the paint work.Call me |
Re: Needs to Go
Congrats Bob! I look forward to seeing your new ride this summer.
Bill - I may give you a call regarding paint as well. Rick |
Re: Needs to Go
Thank you guys for all of your support on this one. Like I said before it needs a little TLC, so with some time I will have it the way I want. Bill mayby we will talk. I have a guy coming to possible DRY ICE BLAST the paint off. He said it will take the paint off to the gel coat without damage to the gel. Then I will wet sand and buff the gel back to new. If it comes out pretty good I"ll leave it white for awhile. BOB.

Re: Needs to Go
Thanks for the plug there Bob, It's what we do here at Links Marine, I am coming down the home stretch on the Triple engine boat and hope to have it turn key by the end of the week, time will tell. glad I could help you with the sale.

Re: Needs to Go
Bob Powell. Congradulations on the sale. I recently bought an outboard powered 26' myself. Someone had mentioned that there was a Powerboats Test article on the boat back many years ago but I have been unable to locate a copy of the article. Do you have an info on the article? Todd

Re: Needs to Go
Waytoslow, HOT BOAT did an article on a friends 26 powered by twin v-6 johnsons in 1992. The boat ran 79 on radar at the performance trials. HOT BOAT could not get the boat to run over about 70, so STEVE STEPP had to take the wheel. What did you buy, and good luck. Boats run very well once you get some seat time. BOB

Re: Needs to Go
Bob, congrats on the sale of your 26. Good luck on your new purchase. That dry ice works. Joe Murray
|
Re: Needs to Go
Thanks, JOE MURRY. Do you have any experience with DRY ICE ? If so what can you tell me about it, good or bad as I only have one opinion and that is the guy that does it. BOB.

Hooked up and arrived in Pa 2:00 pm on Tuesday. With a little tlc and some time it will look like a new boat. Will post photos soon.
