All of the products we sell come with a Mercury Marine or Mercury Racing a Factory Warranty.

Thats great to hear. Makes me feel better about my purchase knowing they do in fact have the advertised 1 yr factory warranty. Not sure who, when or how they got registered then with Merc. I know I didn’t/couldn’t. So I assume at this point Coastal Marine provided that service once I purchased them?

But could you explain why my boxes were both opened and just taped shut, leaving the staples still in tact in the box flap, as well as have the serial numbers cut off of the box label?
And why both TA’s had the rear decals cut short removing the serial numbers and having the steel plate either turned around or replaced with a plate with no serial numbers stamped in them? (I didn’t remove it too look.) Was there supposed to be paper work in the boxes? Seems like Mercury went to a lot of trouble for no reason.
Either way, still ok with the purchase and not concerned about it.

Merc did not do that ^^^ nor hide any serial numbers PERIOD nor retaped your boxes. I would ask for a provided serial number period. I wonder why there is no serial numbers on new products being sold, that alone would be a huge red flag no matter whom was selling it.

If someone comes to me with a brand new outdrive and no serial number was on it - as they wanted to sell it to whomever - I do not buy it - thoughts would be its either stolen or sold out the back door or company / person(s) is not legit selling the stuff. Or they do not want the manu of those products knowing where it is being sold to. No serial number means no trace back where it came it from nor a trace back of whom is selling it and was never register for any warranty period. .

By chance a address of the business ? and the address of the huge warehouse ? Always like to keep track of what boat builders are building these days and what type of boats plus the brands. Thanks

BUP, you have been a wealth of knowledge on here for years, but trying to discredit your competition for selling parts cheaper than you is just not cool.

good to know and I do help out were and when I can here. SO thanks

you do not know the address for the boat builder since you went there. thanks.

I am providing info about Merc warranty and corrosion warranty thru the manu -- inwhich everyday I provide OEM marine info for whoever up here whether they are asking for the info or not.. I never pointed out anything but warranty and serial numbers that are on marine products as they should be.

Never said anymore than that nor pointed at discrediting one person here nor companies - especially for new product buys from boat owners as I am pointing out what to look for and what Merc has..

Lastly --- Strictly pointed out warranty plus serial numbers thru Merc plus buying a marine engine what to look for ---with that said one reads into how they chose.

I never said that I don't know the address. I don't believe that it is my place to post it on here. If Mike would like to make his address public, that is up to him. But I can assure you that in Feb of 2017, during the Miami boat show, that myself and Mike True (253 on here) went to this so called warehouse and were allowed to look at everything that he had. Ended up buying some used drives, new drives and some Bravo parts for 253's drive rebuild business.

Not trying to pit business-against-business here, just trying to get a feel, for experience with Coastal Marine Export (CME) engines.
I was on facebook P B Swapshop continuing my search for an old Volvo / Innovation 600hp 540, or older Merc 525 efi when a CME Ad popped up.
Unfortunately, it seems no one has purchased or used any of their engines, so there is none of the OSO brotherhood with engine use feedback. The CME website didn't offer much history on their business concerning their engines. I like the idea they seem to come drop-in complete,
BUT
considering I've had a blown fuse and ain't reel smart (tic), I can't afford to be the guinea pig.
