I have a 509 built on a Merlin block just up the road from you in Mentor. 4.5" bore, Merlin iron heads, Merlin marine intake, etc. etc. with about 10 hours on full rebuild (I have receipts). Pulled her out of the boat after end of season, complete pan to intake. Let me know if you have any interest.

I have never seen them cheaper than this.

Yeah, I called that place, but they only have 4.25" bore, so the machine time would add up

Not 100% sure, but I believe a Merlin III block only comes with a 10.2" tall deck.

Anyway, I have a pair of Merlin II 9.8" short deck blocks that were built to 565cid, AFR 315cc CNC ported heads massaged by JimV, billet distributors, Holley 950cfm carbs, Jessel shaft mount rocker arms, hydrualic roller cams/lifters by Bob Madara/RMBuilder, Lunati fully counterweighted cranks, Eagled H-beam rods w/L19 rod bolts, JE flat top pistons, 9.5 comp ratio, GIL 10-quart oil pans, Hex Adjust timing chains, polished Dart single plane intake manifolds w/massaged plenums, Fluid Damper balancers, FRESH WATER USE, 230 hours, machined, blue printed/balanced/assembled and dyno tested by Dave Wesseldyk of WESCO in Jension, Michigan. $11,900 per engine.
