WTB Fastech 382 cabin contents
I believe those who purchased the Formula Fastech 382 P2 Raceboats with no cabin installed were also given the entire cabin contents package as a boxed set.
If any of you have this complete set you would like to sell, I'm interested.
I have a stripped 2000 Fastech 382 I would like to complete.
Please either PM or email me with the details and your asking price.
The boat is in NJ.
Thanks in advance. 40gt ( Blaine )

Same boat.
I will probably just do a custom everything in the end.
I have seen the boat and I'm more than happy with it.
I was looking for a project boat ( hull / deck ) - and I found one!
I have all the transom goodies to start the project rolling.
Don't need a weekender boat, I already have one.
I just wanted a performance project boat again.
From what I've read the 382's are reasonable wave crushers, and it gets pretty rough over here as it's windy almost every day. So we will see how it goes.
I had a 29ft Scarab for 10 years & sold it. Missed it after a few years, hence the new project.
That's one of my weaknesses - I like working on boats almost as much as I do using them.

How can you turn down a project hull like this?
Add a couple of engines, some controls / guages, some transom gear, couple of bolsters, keep it simple, lock the cabin door and go hit some some waves !
That works for me.

look in general discussion, there is a thread on a 382 that a guy bought totaled from a land wreck, I think he is only keeping the long blocks, if the cabin stuff didnt get messed up he may cut you a smokin deal on everything.

Not to drum up an old thread, but I saw your avatar 40gt. I wanted to check if that was the one from Trenton. I used to keep my 292 fastech at Trenton Marine. I've looked that 353 over may times before. You might want to check the hull if you haven't already. You'll find that there are several holes drilled in the bottom. So it's definately more then just motors and interior pieces
I believe the story that I heard on this shell was that the owner was going to lose it to the bank, so he parted it out. Drilled holes in the bottom and sank it at a boat ramp. He then claimed that the boat had been stolen. Someone bought it as a project boat prior to you, but had a change of heart and someone convinced Jerry to take it as a trade on another boat.
I'd be interested in whatever progress you've made so far on it. I thought taking it on as a project boat myself, but Trenton just wanted to much for it.

Thanks for the interest.
I like talking boats if you're interested.
Yes the boat was from Trenton Marine , NJ.
She now sits in my driveway in Perth, Australia.
Yes I know a little about her history & the holes.
I did do a little bit of research beforehand.
All the holes have since been patched - professionally.
Nothing serious or a problem to deal with.
Also patched the AC water intake at the same time.
She now has x 2 new 8.2l Black Mercruisers.
No point going too stupid on the rebuild or it would be cheaper to buy one finished.
Plus gas is ~$6 / gallon here and the ocean is usually rough with the local winds every day,
so high speeds with high HP, were not on the priority list.
Hopefully we will see somewhere in the low to mid 60's though, as is.
I'll probably do cams, exhaust & ECU sooner than later.
I have sent a few queries.
I'm just waiting on some people here on OSO to answer their emails.
She has all the running gear off a 29ft Fountain Fever called Second Generation,
that was also at Trenton Marine.
280 K-Planes, Latham twin hydraulic steering, HD transom assemblies, bravo legs. Not sure about the lowers.
I bought both boats, took all the running gear off the FF & re-sold it.
I had the cockpit upholstered by Als Custom Interiors in NJ with the wrap around seats and the two at the front with the seat back insert for a 3rd person.
The same as the Outerlimits boats as I just like those seats and the set up.
The cabin is still empty. Still thinking on that one. No rush.
You can buy a whole boat for the price of a Formula windscreens, so I had to come up with another idea.
Today I started on a wind deflector in place of the windscreen. Still working on it.
It's all coming together slowly, as the budget allows.
Personally I think it will be a good boat when done, but I am bias. :-)
She will turn out a little different than what most Fastech owners are used to, but all mine!
