Just my .02, I buy the knock offs on ebay for 1/4 the price. Have found not difference from the originals.

I have used their spacers and the 1" tapered spacer is a noticeable difference.

Interesting, how well do you think the phenolic spacer will hold up in a marine environment?

No problem with phenolic in any environment. My boat came with a 1" open phenolic that was on there since 1998 and it was still like new.
