The problem with these aftermarket seats is all the framing is made out of steel . I had a set very similar and after one season in my boat they were poring rust out of them every time they got wet . I had the covering removed and that when I realized just how cheap they were built . Thats when I decided to build our own . If you do decide to go with a race seat manufactured for auto or off road use , contact the manufacture and tell them your putting them in a boat and you would like a written guarantee that they will not rust in your marine application .

We can build you all plastic rotocast seats with stainless hardware that will not rust. They look simular to the Skater style seats, but at a much less cost.
