gen v is a non factory non roller cam and steel timing cover,it will not accept the factory roller cam or lifters either that gen 6 has..

gen 5 will accept the factory roller cam and front plate even gen 4 will ...just use retro fit lifters .you can even use a 6 cover on a 5 by drilling and tapping a few holes ..did it on a boat to make motors match when i had a 5 -6 block

Got the front plates & special screws from local Chevy dealer for my Gen 5s.

I have a STD bore Gen V that is hot tanked and ready to go. St. Louis area. I'd take 1000 cash for it.
