Wtb- mark IV BBC iron rect port heads
#7
What casting number are they?
Have they been rebuilt?
do they have pressed in exhaust seats? (been burned with good heads that have cracked exhaust seats, even my old heads that were in good shape and didn't leak had a crack between the seats.)
Are they stainless or inconel exhaust valves and what brand. Manley good, Ferrea valves- good, others- questionable, (There is a reason Mercury racing went with Manley valves and not speed pro inconel exhaust valves)
Condition of the valve guides Big blocks are hard on valve guides.
let me know what you have.

i think you should just buy new heads, then you can get exactly what you want.summit sells a house brand of 308cc intake runner heads that are dart 308 iron eagles.buy them bare and have the shop of your choice install the parts you want.

The valves are stock merc 420 hp. I don't know what brand they used. They have been checked, maged, vac, valve guides etc. I broke 1 engine, and bought 2 matched sets of ported iron heads from another member here to use on my fresh blocks. I had been keeping these for spares, but I'm goin another way now and no longer need 'em. I will do 850.00 pictures available, unable to upload them on this post. P.M. your email and i will send them ASAP
