Was this brought up last week. Do a google search on the 741 cam. Might surprise you what you can find a couple new ones for. Just a thought. Good used cams typically go for half the price of new so your loooking at 400 00 difference for the the two of them. Give or take.... I completely understsnd about saving a buck here and there but you are adding blowers and carbs etc. Not a 100% but there are some years to stay away from if you purchase used. Bad ring gear or something. Can't remember for sure.

Correct I should have stated that. If reversion is a concern then you can make the choice but just as a reference there are a lot of 741's with wet exhaust and zero issues. Tks SB for correcting me.
