Default Looking for bellhousings
Need 2 bellhousings for Borg Warner 72c transmissions with bottom mounted starters. Top mount starters won’t work for this application. Thanks.

Why not just attach the starters to the block?

in my head I keep thinking a top mount starter bellhousing won’t clear the bellhousing if you mount the starter on the block. (My motors are in the boat right now) I guess the top mount starter bellhousings are made to mount the starter either way?

I was right, the top mount housings I recently bought don’t look like they’ll accommodate normal block mounted starters. I need the housings with the hump to clear the starter gear...
