Default water inlet (black)

need a black in color hose clamp style water inlet asap.
apparently mercury decided to include the wrong part in the box with the new transom assembly,
that is per the included directions
probably for laughs but most likely so i would have to buy something else from them.

like every big named manufacturer i bought parts, kits, you name it from they are either
wrong size, wrong direction, have bolts that are too short or bolts that are too long,
something always need modified or correct extra parts bought

tell ya, i'm ready to sell this thing, the boat is awesome, it's the big named boat part guys
and there multi thousand dollar kits that are eff'd up one way or another brand new in the box
that are screwing me up at every turn.

is the first pic right ? is it supposed to look this way ?
it does not resemble the book
the black tube does measure what the instructions say.

the blue fitting won't go on because the rubber is sticking out.
it seems like the amount of force to bolt it down (squishing the rubber) could could crack the case
or pop that rubber thing back into the housing and lose cooling water

so now i have no idea what to do, because i have no idea if the thing was installed correctly when built

believe plastic tube and rubber insert to be installed correctly.

think the inlet part # is 22-8moo81543
which supersedes part # 22-43828T

mike if you have, i will take 1 of each if numbers are legible
or if you see any differences. thank you.
