My understanding is that there is a span between generations where VST could be on a cool fuel engine or vice versa. 1997-1998 - if I’m remembering correctly.
Are you saying you need the hose like in the last pic or one for the VST rail? |

Are you saying you need the hose like in the last pic or one for the VST rail? I have a 1999 which SN goes to this: LINK This is the one year that they did things different. Very annoying. They seem to drop the second regulator and kept cool fuel. (while also having a different intake style and injectors.) From that drawing, it looks like I have the same rail. That rail looks like it works, the top hole is fuel coming in from my cool fuel, at the other end is threaded for pressure shrader. the bottom hole just goes right through. my cool system has no other regulator on the rail. thoughts? https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...a8297654f.jpeg |
All that’s original 1999? It looks like you have the longer injectors too (from the VST setup).
Both of mine were 1998s - they didn’t look anything like that. |

Both of mine were 1998s - they didn’t look anything like that. the 99 year is a hard year to get these parts. I have been trying and coming up wrong, starting with the intake. But this rail was used on both VST and fuel cool system. Also if you look at the 99 fuel rail it looks identical as a 98 that used a cool fuel system. The only difference is in 98 they had 2 regulators (one at rail and one at fuel cool) and in 99 they only used 1 (according to the BAM drawings) Thoughts or am I missing something? I am curious if this rail still can work. I THINK all I need is to get the top port of the rail with fuel, one end fuel in and other end a a shrater valve. The bottoms need nothing. |
I have rails for that work with the hose with block. Not sure if that would work with your injectors but it may be an option. Or you could just make everything out of AN fittings and high pressure hose (probably easier and look nicer to boot).

This 1999 year and model is complete mess. It was for a short time frame and not many motors are around Getting this intake and fuel rail is tough. \ For example, below photos of my model and a 1998 model intake. The 1998 has so many other years / models to get parts from, the 1999 only has 4. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...2f1c557022.png https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...8029209a5d.png |
