It was a corp thing with the marina. They auctioned off 2 of my boats for failure to pay rent on storage. The problem they have in court is that I had three slips. The same card paying for all three. They charged one slip but failed to charge for other 2. They bill seperate but someone there forgot to tie the accounts together. At the same time I was gone with work. They never called or took the proper steps to sell the boats at auction. They were completely unaware of the laws that surround abandoned vehicles. All that aside it was very hard to find a lawyer to pursue it because of te complexity. It took a long time to get through court. In the end I still "own " the 2 boats sold but since ga is a non title state who knows where they are.
No I never contacted him as I didn't want to scare or make him feel threatened. I am sure he has no idea. The boat he describes is dead on.

I was told it was Factory and was a one off they did for a magazine. I have never been able to find the mag though.
