you guys figure out what direction your headed??
Thats what i like to hear! The bottom on the boat is back together already, so the plan of now is to run it in class 5 next year still and still keep looking for new routes since the boat is getting older.

Warlock 23 XRI

As Carter Read wound his way through the SoCal boat building business he offered this model in 1994 as "Ultimate by Ultracraft", then in late 1995 as "Ultimate", then in 1998 as "Ultimate Warlock" and finally in 2001 as just "Warlock". The last 23 XRI model was built in 2006 I believe. No steps and no pad, these are little boat, big water wave crushers. Speeds of 55 with a 350MAG, 60 with a 7.4MPI/Carb, 65 with a 7.4MAG and 71 with a 502MPI. An old school looking, high freeboard hull that many think is too "blocky" and not sleek enough. Has a 24 degree V, an even steeper bow entry deadrise, 60 gallon tank, 8' beam and is exactly 23' long which is an unusual length for a go-fast hull. Most all of these XRI's were built as mid-cabin, open bow layouts with jumpers and Bravo 3's. While there are not many XRI's out there to begin with, it is even more rare to see one with a closed deck or a walk through open bow format. The closed deck version still gives you the jumper seats below the dash where you can sit straight up and adds a small bed. I'm not sure if the molds have survived over the past 20 years with Warlock's bankruptcy but it would be a great hull to resurrect with modern lightweight materials and bagging techniques. You could probably loose 500lbs. Hard to find this model out there and impossible to find 'em with 502MPI or 496HO higher horsepower mills. I keep looking for the 415 or 425 package and so far no dice
