You can get a manual for bravo drives which covers all th engine packages they were mated to. You need to pick one up that covers your model year. It would have answered your sea water pumps questions in a second. Change the impeller in your port motor first, it is easy to get to and will only take you a half hour or so the first time. The starbird motor will be a b#tch, I'm just letting you know! I replace mine every year and it is a contortion job to say the least. I unbolt my rear bench seat and slide it as far forward as possible before I start.

Now, to wait for some slightly better, warm weather and I will purchase all of the parts and take the boat out of storage and put it in my driveway so I can work on it. I actually look foward to working on things like this! Looks like a 6 beer job...! Rick |

Wally, thanks for the step by step! Do I need to replace the housing too?

That would depend on the damage it has. If you have the time then take the thing apart then you can make the call and best case just get a new impeller. If you order the complete kit it comes with a new housing and if your old one is good then keep it for a spare and and you can just order a spare impeller and have that onboard the boat for that one time you burn it up out on the water! :D
