It will run trips easy. I have heard the stories about what happened to it. The boat is strong for sure. To take a roll at the speeds i heard it must be strong. No worries with that. I was there when they built the new interior.

Have you ever tried the 1.50 bravo? I looked and it was a 28p that was on it with 1.50. Turn the prop you have up to 6000rpm and it will run 96 with the set up ypu have. Just the way it is but 1.50 ratio. And it wont take all day to get there.

Also try a shorty. Get the drive up and that will help.

I talk to both often. They are doing well. Andy is still in boats and Lance is out in Cali doing diesel motors. Dont think we ever met. Unless it was at a race. That boat will rock

Thanks man . I can see rite now the hold up's going to be the price of headers . I've seen complete 540's cheaper . Just makes no sense at all . Very hard to justify spending that kind of money on pipes . Talkin bout Hurricane Lites . I sprung for a set of CMI's for my stroker a while back , used about 60 hours , now there sittin here collectin dust . $4000. for 60 hours . Tried to sale them on Ebay cheap , no takers .

im runnin super comp over the transom water injected headers in my 25. using a RPM window switch to control a 1/2" water/fuel solenoid to cut of header water below 2000 rpm. (old jet boat trick) works great and makes ALOT more power than manifolds or even tube type headers for 1/10 of the price of CMI or comparables. whole system cost me 400 bucks.

and they sound great even with the baffles in. its not as "trick" as the expensive stuff...but hey...i figure im makin at least 40 hp over my old stock 496 manifolds with em. (picked up 3 mph) they make a HUGE difference in my boat.

my wallet couldnt be happier! lol

Running 110MPH on GPS with a blown 540 with a labbed 28 @ 6000. Ran a stock 30 and only got 100 MPH @ 5000.
