A little update from my original post last July...we stayed downtown on Bond Ave. for six months until we decided where we wanted to live. Just moved into a Condo yesterday near 5 Mile Rd. & E. Beltline. Planning on going to the Grand Rapids boat show in Feb. to meet some people and join the club, already have the dates for Rock the Coast blocked and will be bringing our Sunsation up for the week.

Wow
Quite a switch from downtown Bond to Beltline and 5 Mile.
I travel West River Drive back and forth to work and hang around the Plainfield area.
Congrats on the move.
Don't get too revved up for the GR Boat Show.
It has actually been a few years since I attended.
Unless you are in the market for a new pontoon, wake, or fishing boat, you might not find much to keep you interested.
Beats hibernating this time of year though.
Good luck and enjoy

5 mile/Beltline is a great area! Welcome once again. The boat show is not geared to the offshore crowd, but there is still plenty to see. Check out the West Michigan Offshore display for sure! Again, Welcome!
Hope to meet up with you face to face, don't hesitate to ask questions, pm if you would like.

I feel bad for not keeping up on this OSO thread much, but WMO has changed the chemistry of the boat show. It's still full of pontoon and wake boats, but we've had serious offshore boats there two years in a row now, and Saber (WMO sponsor) had a couple of boats there this year too. Can't change the entire culture all at once, but we're doing it little by little. There's definitely reason to go now!

Yep...

I ended up going for the first time in many years myself.
Saw ads showing WMO and the Sabers in the listings.
Was glad I went and got to catch up with a few folks too.
