Hey guys,

Not sure if this is the right place for this post but I live in Colorado and was wondering if anyone on the board also boats in CO. I know it's no Lake Michigan or ocean, but I was out on Cherry Creek Res the other day and saw at least a 30' go fast boat with twins tearing it up, couldn't get close enough to see what brand but it sure looked and sounded like one hellova boat!

Regards,

Seth

Just saw your post. I would like to say Hi. Just purchased a 47 Fountain lighting. Ran it in Pueblo Lake this summer. Met several performance boat owners. Hope to meet more next season. If you are around come say Hay. I will be the one at the gas pump!!!

So what’s everybody do in the offseason? Met a guy down @ Pueblo last time who says he was still wakeboarding in February. Too cold for me! Personally I’m a sledder & can’t wait for the snow to start piling up.

Have any of you checked out Navajo? Its mostly in New Mexico but the northern tip is in Colorado. Its an awsome lake!! I grew up in So Mo so i am used to the warm water of Table Rock Lake & LOTO. I have a 94 21' Larson but i am trying to buy a 28' Nordic Heat right now. If you get a chance, check out Navajo, warm & long!

Is there any water in Blue mesa now? When I saw it a few months ago, it was down about 45 feet and in places, boats needed wheels on the bottom. I dont think there will be enough snow this year for the run off to fill it back up. I have a place down the road a ways from you in Lake City. Running the river below the Blue Mesa dam looks like a sweet trip. I see alot of toon boats down there.

I graduated from Western back in 2003 and spent a lot of time at the mesa during the summers. Was actually just there the past few weeks skiing in cb enjoying the extremely thin snowpack.

What are you running for power and props? Bit of a different game when you are boating at 7500ft above sea level.

Its pretty low but that is typical. Our snow pack right now is only 66% of normal we are behind a bit but Feb and March are our two biggest snow months so hopefully we will catch up! Last few years it has been full come Spring run off. I have done alot of building in Lake City years ago at a ranch just North of town, spent three years commuting there. Do you bring your boat up and go to the Mesa in the Summer?

It has the 500EFI with a 26p Bravo 1 4 blade. I will probably need to go to a 22p up at Blue Mesa. But I have not had it out. Our first trip will be in late Feb early March to Havasu and I will run the 26p. Do you get back here during the boating season? What boat do you have?

I haven't made it back during boating season for probably four years. I have a 36' Apache and pulling her over Monarch would be borderline scary LOL. You would hear my Jake Brake singing all the way down in Gunny.

I actually have an unfortunate trip that I am going to have to make back in the next couple weeks due to a friends passing to attend his memorial.

Then probably do one more trip in the spring to to do a ski descent of couple of 14ers.

I mainly boat at LOTO these days since we have a place there and it is close to my primary residence in St. Louis.

What do you do for work out there? That was one of the reasons I left was it was really hard to make a buck in CB/gunny. I figured I would go back to the midwest and bust my tail and hopefully be able to have a place there in ten years or so.
