Your going to love the river.
There are several guys that build docks in the area. The one I know is Kevin Needs, I think he’s in Laclede. |
We can't wait for the house and shop to be built!! So ready to spend time there and get out of the miserable, liberal state of Washington.

Been going to both lakes the last 35 years and your right that in the past our boats were not welcome at pend oreille. Seems to be better just the past few years. Coeur d alene has changed some. Gozzer ranch took over arrow point area and the public is no longer welcome. No more Eddie's. Supposed to be a new resort going in at carlin bay in a couple of years They made the mistake of tearing down the old building before the permits were in place for the new one. Have a trailer there now with food.. Rockford bay is still good, along with harrison and conkling park marina. Templins on the river still has a band on wednesday night and dinner or drinks at the marina. Pretty busy on weekends and hard to find dock space. Lake Pend Oreille is close, bigger and not so crowded. Exciting to see other performance boaters arriving!

I’ll know how loud it is soon. I have mufflers if it’s too crazy.

Just spent the weekend over here looking. I think I found a plot on CD'A but haven't ruled PDR out. I hadn't seen any available lots that would work for us that are available but have a few possibilities. Southern CDA might be a tiny be sunnier. PDR is so beautiful tho. It is surprising how much more they draw down PDR than CDA in anticipation of the sno-melt. Keep us posted. I will miss seeing your boat on the Sound from our "soon to be former" house but think it's cool you are going to where it is still America. For now. . |

How are they treating speed over 55 and sound? I have mufflers similar to those being modified above but I am still loud under power. . . |
When I got pulled in Sandpoint a few yrs ago they said they were only interested in the decibel level at idle.

Now can you find a parcel that is 10-15 feet above high water (once in 50 year high water) with enough room for a shop? Oh yeah, that I can afford? LOL! . |
2112, we were there (Sandpoint) last weekend meeting with our builder. He is doing preliminary plans and the dock guy already has a drawing of what I want. When we got back here Sunday afternoon, got to sit in Fife traffic. Washington sucks!! LOL

I have lived my whole life in Washington. It pains me to move away but it hasn't been the state I grew up in for years.
We were in the torrential downpour in Sandpoint Saturday. Felt like Western WA. Hearing of all you guys boating over there is encouraging. No matter which lake I end up on, I still have a trailer to visit the other. Anxious to see your progress. Please post pics as things move forward. PS It took me 7 years to get my Fox Island dock permit. I hear it takes weeks or at worst months to get one in Idaho. . |
