Hey Guys, the VFW is hosting the 933/936, forward deployed surgical deployed unit' s welcome home party. It will be a HUGE event, with generals, a big meal, the 1776 "drummer boy" color guard, Mason's doing a "White Rose" ceremony, you name it, we will be doing it.
The event is at the KC hall south of Lone Oak on the new 45. Starts at 10:00 sharp.
This event is paid for from the money from the poker run. ALL are invited. If you can attend please do, lots of fun, no work, and a chance to tell a bunch of soldiers we welcome them home like heroes.
On a sadder note, in Paducah the Veterans day parade will be November 9th, Friday, not the traditional observanced day, because the city does not want to pay time and a half to workers clean the streets. I want to choke that piece of schite mayor we have, but this is his choice. We will be presented in the parade. If you can, stop by and see us, bring the kids too. We will load them up with so much sugar they will bounce off the walls for a week!
