Coming down for the races....have been to the lake many times but never for the races.....how early do you need to be out to get a good spot? Also any other do's & dont's are appreciated.

Thanks

Stay as far from the bank as you can. Stumps,Stumps, Stumps. I found one three years ago. It cost me a prop and I was not close to the bank. I have only been back one time and stayed close to the rope line as possible.

I went over to the races a few years ago and got stopped/yelled at by the coast guard auxillary for a wake. I explained that I was idling and he screamed at me "you got neutral don't ya!" Not sure how I was supposed to continue on unless I paddled, so I turned around and went to the quarry.

Showdown, most of the regulars up there have quit going to the races for all the reasons above. Not only Timmy, but I've heard of lots of other people hitting stumps. Coast Guard is pretty harsh over there too.

So are you staying at Bee Spring now? I've got the black Supra that launched Sunday when you were loading up.

Thanks for all the replies....maybe it won't be as much fun as i thought.

Jonyb we stayed at Bee Spring last weekend but they have nothing available this weekend so we are staying at Kenlake. Thanks again for offering to help at the ramp.

No problem.... I wasn't rushing you with an offer for help, we just know how tough it is to load up by yourself.

Pretty nice truck you've got too. Looking for a lift for it? We're a dealer for several different brands along with wheels/tires. Next time I'm back up there mine should be taller on 22x12's and 35's......

Thanks
