What do you need help with?

LOL,, um about 5000 phone calls, about $5000.00 start up money, scheduling of food, boats, fuel, rooms, music, band, card boats, the water cops, marinas, sponsors, course layout, awards, trophys, prizes, tickets, shirts, designs and posters, slips, mailings, making entry forms, printing, stamps, etc,, and thats just for the first month.

why dont you have a meeting for those who are willing to help and get started for this. Also you could talk about froming a REAL wkpba. Dont try to do it all yourself we will help.

One bite at a time Mitch. Coordinate help first, double +/- what you need, then when some help bails, you still have enough. Sounds like a lot of work though.

I mentioned that very thing on here a few months ago!! I've had 3 phone calls this week about the run, there's one on my answering machine now from yesterday.

Mitch, instead of a full blown run with cards and all that crap why not a scaled down Fun Run? Go to Big Daddy's do lunch, go to a cove somewhere and hang out and then party at the Dock that night? Forget the dinner and make it simple? Just a thought......

I love this run. Hate to see it end. Like Kennyo said, why not make it simple. Still pick up cards but cut back on some of the FUZZ.

I always enjoyed the dinner part, thats what makes the run.. all of us metting at FD at one time would never work, cluster fu@k !

Hey Mitch, You got some help from So. Ind. !!! I can get some people together, We have ran some small runs up here and have some very good people!! I'll have to maybe second or third the keep it simple. A run, a few trophies, a good cause to donate to(that is always what the real objective of a poker run is). Lets keep this going !! Robby

Great points all!! It's a shame that we don't have a high performance Boat dealer in this area that could benefit from being a title sponsor,, instead I have to go to my friends who own business's, beg for sponsorship money and they get ZERO return on there investment except for a name on a shirt and a Twenty Dollar plaque. I'm just can't and won't do that any more!!
By the way, I really appreciate you guys support!! I really enjoy doing this and I think overall everyone always has a great time!! cept for the Air Conditionr deal last year!! lol

The biggest thing that everyone could do to help is pre-register!!!!!!!!!!!! When I tell the Dam that I need food for 250 people, then 400 show up,,, They fillet me!! or I get T-Shirts for 400 then 300 show up,,,, they really don't eat very well!!

The "CULT" has arrived! Can't wait. Part of our group has all ready taken up the cabins at the damn. Those went quick. I am making reservations today at Moore's.:boat:

I'll see what I can do this year. If I take off, it'll be to help as you know I won't participate. Wake boats have a hard enough time on an empty KY Lake.....

Just made our reservation to stay at Moore's in the Lodge. They only had one room left and I got it. Can't wait to see everybody.

I can either bring the boat, or my Dad said he'd DJ it for free, but you said no DJ's? No equipment allowed?

If I brought the boat, I'd probably try to line up another one to raft next time mine in the slip and can link them together.

after the fist-a-cuffs last year,, we won't be having a DJ at the dock Friday night. we'll try to limit the fighting and stealing of golf carts. (It was all Runnin Hot's fault)

Would therebe a difference in a dj and playing music from my boat? I can guarantee there won't be vulgar music played either way, unless it's very late and requested.

Yeah jonyB, My buddy and I can link our systems together and we have about 4000+ watts. But who is banning the DJ, Or is it the music in general? What if we put speakers on the dock from out of the boat? We can get around it alot of ways, We just don't want to p*ss off all the docks! Robby
