Default Kentucky Lake Questions

So I have some firends of mine wanting us to make the trip up to Lake Kentucky July 9th thru the 17th. Is there anything going on there during this time?

I saw that the poker run is in June (which would have been fun) but looks like we will miss it.

Is there a speed limit? It looks like there is alot of water to boat on.

My wife is from Camden, Tn so we thought about taking a boat ride down there to visit. Are there any locks that one would have to worry about?

Thanks for the help. Oh, we would be bring our 30 Motion and a friend would be bringing a 32 Fountain.

No speed limits, no locks to Camden, nothing but great water and beautiful scenery!! Where will you be staying at?

This is were your going to find most of the action, most of all the powerboaters are out of the Moors area. And its right across from party cove and the other hot spots on the north end of the lake!

Once you pass the bridge going to Tennessee, make sure to stay in the river channel. It gets a little tricky out there.

Green Turtle bay is really nice. Very nice, Big area. The Moors is a good party spot. About 3 miles from Green Turtle Bay is Buzzard Rock, And they have the only bar on the water. They have some decent 2 bedroom w/loft cabins (4 queen beds). They are on Barkley lake. Hope you have a great time!!!!!!!!

Green Turtle Bay is a pretty decent boat ride from where everything will be happening, plus Barkley scares me.... Tree's and branches sticking up not even 2' away from the channel.
