Default Center Consoles on KY and Barkley

I have been seeing ALOT of CC's on the lakes lately and I am just wondering why? Saw a Fountain, Cig and Donzi with trip ob's over the weekend. Been seeing several smaller single engine boats and a couple with twins. Now don't get me wrong, I think they are way cool, just used to seeing them in south Florida, not kentucky. Do the owners of these boats take them to the ocean or just use them for cruising the lakes?

Lots of manufacturers (Cigarette, Fountain, Donzi, Active Thunder, Deep Impact, even Statement) are putting BIG dollars into the development / promotion of the Center Console. They are hedging on this being the fastest growing segment of our sport. I wouldnt be surprised if these become as big of a craze as the tri-toons or even more from the response they have gotten this year. After we spent the week in Destin for the Poker Run and looked at some of the new ones, I can see why people are moving towards that style. Center consoles aren't just for fishin' anymore

I recently had a Ranger CC saltwater boat in the shop doing some repairs. I could see why some would like that layout more than the traditional type.
