I know it is short notice, but there is a group of about 10 boats leaving Friday morning from the public ramp at Mt Vernon heading to Barkley lake. Going to leave at 9am and return on Sunday. Will stop at Golconda for fuel. Anyone is welcome.

According to the forecast, the river will be about 5-6 feet over pool Friday. I would love to make this run, but not in those conditions. If you do this again later in the year, let me know. I'm always up for a long boat trip!!

That makes it about 15' lower than it was last week. I am thinking that it won't be too trashy.

Yep, it was really high early last week, but dropped out nicely for the weekend. We were on the river Friday-Sunday. We ran about 50 miles each day Friday and Saturday, and maybe 20 miles Sunday. It was pretty trashy each day... mostly small stuff tho.

We're heading to the lake Sat morning. The river is really dirty right now, but the trash appears small.
