Help removing prop with unknown prop lock

Another thing you can do is get a cheap china 12 point socket to just fit the inside of the sleeve and pound it over the inner locking nut..

I've had luck using a socket of the appropriate size and grind it down to leave a couple of tabs that will engage the prop lock recesses(basically making a lock key). Usually all you need is a couple of tabs to be able to get it loose.

If you have a large marine facility near you, they probably have all the McGuard keys. They've been down this road before.
If you have a little bit clearer picture of it, you can send it McGuard and they can send you a key.
I like the JB Weld trick, never heard of that one.
A coupe of long cuts down the outside of it, and it should split open like a taco.
