ext box steering question
I'm at it again with this, but some help would be appreciated.
I posted about a stellings box and steering. Have one more question.
I found the Stellings box will work on my Scarab.
Now I have a full IMCO hydraulic steering system on my boat. Will the ext. rams that Marine Machine sells with their steering system fit the steering rams of my IMCO?? If it does will modifications be necessary. I want to be able to use my IMCO on the stellings box, but want to be able to use the ext. rams he's selling also, because their a good price. I'm attaching a photo of the ext. rams.
Any light you could shed on this would greatly be appreciated.
Cord, if your out there. I never got a return email from ya.

Call IMCO and ask for their mounting dimensions, they are very helpful. That will give you an indication if what you are interested will work. From there just measure the mounting point, i.e., pin diameters to make sure the rams will mount. I have the IMCO extension with their mounts and have not had any problems. The nice thing about the Stellings is that you can change the x dim, but it comes at a price. you will have more stress on a already stressed ujoint, where the IMCO is hard mounted with a long drive shaft that replaces the one you currenly have.
