36 Outlaw owners question for you

36 Outlaw owners question for you
What speeds are you seeing and what size/hp engine setup do you have. I also need to know what drive ratio and prop pitch you are running. Also is your boat loaded with accessories or is it stripped down.
I have a 2000 36 Outlaw. 509 ci Whipplecharged. According to the dyno I have 750 per motor at 5500 rpm . I have 1.36 ratio drives and 28 Bravo 1 props. I run 80 gps at 5000 rpm.
I estimate my boat to be around 11k lbs loaded as I normally run. I had calculated with my power level to be at least 85 mph. I do have 4-500 rpm left which i may get thru some prop work. I have heard that the 1.36 will hurt my top speed and maybe I should think about setback boxes.
I am curoius to see what else is out there.
Thanks,
Smitty

Re: 36 Outlaw owners question for you
I own a 36' Outlaw with T/800 SC running with SSM drives on extension boxes. The boat is loaded including a full cabin and A/C. The boat will run in the low 90 MPH range.

Re: 36 Outlaw owners question for you
You will not find many boats nicer than the 36 for overall looks, ride and handling. But it takes a LOT of power to get them moving.
2002
500 EFI's
28 Pitch Labbed props
1.5 Ratio bravo XZ's
Best every GPS = 74 MPH
Very heavy boat with fresh water holding tank, pump out head with holding tank, microwave, stove, fridge, A/C, shore power, upgraded stereo with four amps, flat screen TV with DVD, etc, etc.
I estimate with our gear and four people and a full load of fuel that my boats weighs 11,350 lbs.

Re: 36 Outlaw owners question for you
I have I think one of the first 36's ever made 1997, Did a complete rebuild at 500 hrs on 500 HP's Balanced new pistons 509 MSD set up nose cones origional 25 3 blade still max speed 75. Set up for Bolt on blowers but on LOTO you can only run flat on weekday mornings, think I'll save my money and be happy with a great dependable ride!
