so the end of the tail pipe needs to go up around an inch ? to mate up ? new transom not going to cut on that

Dan have you thought about cutting the flange between the bung and the edge and adding a small wedge to close the gap . That one inch section is not doubled walled cooled and would be an easy weld for an experienced TIG welder . Might save a lot of grief and aggravation . May *uck up the powder coat though . Just a thought . RG

I was actually thinking about a seperate piece to put in between and use an additional turbo clamp..
Thoughts ... mike ?

I have room:






secondly that`s going off a foam block and heads ,,not sure if I should wait till real engines are in but then I`m rushing in the spring. rather make stuff over winter.

do your heads have raised exhaust ports or same as the mock up stuff

Went through that on mine....had to redo the transom holes and modify my tips to match up with the port height difference. Luckily I was redoing my transom anyway so it wasn't that big of a deal but still good to think about if the foams are standard height.
