The year 1977 the Magnum Active-8-er, I believe was Pete Smith's Original
Magnum Wolverine. The owner is listed as non other than
Bud Drettman,, [ Active boat's ] and co driver R Focht,, [Active ,Image , Express , ect] the other pic's show the Vee bottom boat they built, and the original Active cat year's later.

Her is another pic of the cat when it became Express as I recall this cat did not work very well,, they redesigned it and the rest is history.

This pic show's Kenny Black's Lil Rhino 27' Magnum just after winning the July 28 1973 Cleveland Ohio race. The race was so early the Magnum still had the stock seat's. Also notice who helping dock the Mag at the stern,, Rich First who later became the APBA Offshore Referee at many of the race's in the 80's.
