a buddy of mine is considering buying a boat with a volvo duo prop "composite" (plastic??) drive. any thoughts? Thanx.

They have a lot of issues with them not a good design,they like to leak gear lube and shift rough,a lot of customers have *****ed at volvo about them and volvo have agreed to replace them with aluminum ones at a special exchanged price

Thanx, MDG- kinda what i figgered- like vinyl replacement windows huh? gave my buddy the good news today- turns out the drive's on a 27' larson with a single 5.7- can you say SLUG?? think he's going to pass...
