Hi!

My ol' Phantom 25 with a Promax 300 SVS runs 76 mph on a average day. 78 mph on a good one. Tried it with 2 x 2.5 EFI SS and it ran 98 mph...

Kept it wth single engine as the fuel price is 1,8 USD per litre...

Senza Spectre 25, 502efi, 70.6 on 26 b1 labbed or 72.4 on a 27 mirage labbed. B1 much better all around

2000 38' Fountain Lightning, twin step (small steps), HP500's (Carbs), Labbed 26P Hydros, 6 people, full gas, 4 ice chests, 79 - 81 GPS depending on temp, water and wind conditions (and how much is left in the coolers) : - ))

1991 Chaparral 2550 SX..4600 lbs dry...454/330 hp bone stock...full 82 gallons fuel/5 gallon water....honest 55mph(speedo)...one person..4600 rpm..mirge 3 blade stock prop...it always does 52-53mph regardless of load/persons on board...saw 57mph(speedo) on a cool day- once chine walking..lol..half tank solo......................looking for 60's +mph....I heard blueprinting the hull will add 5mph?.....any thoughts from you PROS..?....I love the ride and the comfortable luxury cuddy on this boat......may drop a 502/500 hp in it next year after blueprinting hull......to hopefully achieve 70's ...can't find anyone who has hotrodded this model.....anybody out there modified a 2550SX?..I have to believe as well built and heavily constructed as it is...it WILL HANDLE the higher horsepower won't it?...looking at ohter boats performance/weight /to HP ratios...I think 500 hp should make 70+ MPH ..........right?

It would be cheaper and more fun to buy my 20' outboard Ski tunnel and Fly in the mid 70s then to put a big block in that beast

BananaShark Rigid inflateable V. Mercury XR2 (2 litre V6 on carbs) 200 hp (nearly!) custom setback bracket, Stainless Marine lifter, 130 litres fuel, 72 mph in a Norwegian Fjiord (very exciting! ) reguarly over 70 mph in British waters.
