That's not just the nose of the boat that came off... :eek:
It appears to have snapped in half from the dashboard forward.

Reminds me of the raceboat BUCKSHOT in the Point Pleasant Race a few years back. They fortunately were much luckier.

thats just terrible...it does just goes to show you that "bad things" can happen to anyone at anytime, prayers to all.

I agree, reports from fisherman saying boat was weaving in and out of other boats at a high rate of speed. I'm sure the stories will get better and better.

The waters are very shallow around Marco. I think that it was close to low tide. There wasn't much in the height of the waves all day, as you can tell by the pictures. Just a thought.

Local NBC-2 is reporting live from a marina to which wreckage will be brought. Reporting "many witnesses". Reporting subject "doing figure 8's and jumping it's own wake". They're saying wreckage area was approx 1/2 mile off inlet/pass. Reporting "there were alot of boats around". Maybe a lotta wake...
