Who makes aluminum gooseneck boat trailer - East Coast?

Pondering idea of a new trailer, looking at loadrite for my Sonic 31ss. Thought I'd research the idea of a gooseneck, though I think the extra length might not fit in my garage. Figured I'd check price and get some measurements....

Also, going to a gooseneck, besides turning radius being better, is it about the same work for the truck to pull 10,000lbs bumper vs gooseneck? Or because of the positioning of pulling over the axle make it easier for the truck to pull the weight?

I'm on the same page as you...I would love to have my aluminum trailer converted to a gooseneck....The only NEW aluminum gooseneck trailers I have found are Myco out of Florida....and they are really proud of them....

Thanks Boatman.... Myco is going to be out of my league pricewise.

I see that Techsun had advertised goosenecks here, but number doesn't work and I hear they are now del mar trailers. Some issues going on there....

A gooseneck is waaayyyy overkill for a 31 Sonic, if you had a 42/45 Sonic then you would need a gooseneck. You would have to tow professionally to rationalize the extra cost of a gooseneck. Also will be a resale concern when your buyer shows up to buy your boat and doesn't want a gooseneck.

Jup, very good point regarding resale! Very good point.

Overkill... I'd say that's a good thing! As we are usually voted as having the worst roads in the country.

How much extra are we talking for adding on the gooseneck? Extra grand? Two grand? I have no experience with a gooseneck?

Seems like a much better hookup and placement of weight compared to off the back bumper.... just trying to get an education before I spend my money.... Thanks!

Techsun is out of buisness. I heard that Del Mar is also out of buisness

It might be overkill but the benifits are great...better turning and backing...better handling....better weight distrubition.

Guess Techsun is out of the picture, Myco to expensive....

Any other builders of aluminum gooseneck?

Just spoke with a guy that went from a regular trailer to a gooseneck and said "What a world of difference"!!!

Anyone?

If your towing a 40ft boat is gooseneck the best option?
