That's my point what is the Bravo rated at? No where even close to this, and there has to be a saftey factor in the numbers correct?
The guy who owns the boat says he has engines within this rating I believe, so I don't see what the problem is.

Hey Byron, I spoke with Rik today, the upgraded ASD-6 kit will be more than adequate, he knows his chit and definetly wouldn't steer you wrong, I'm looking at them for my next drives as well.

i don't know for sure, but i don't think the arnesons ever made it on that boat, maybe rik can chime in on that.... i don't know why, but i heard that from two different people i asked as well. i don't know what drive ended up on there either...

Guys, it's not like this is the first Arneson Surface Drive made and being placed upon a boat in 1978. That day was many years ago.
Byron has SSM#5 Drives on his boat, as he never ran it with Arneson's. The layout would not fit with the headers he already had from his 30' Spectre so rather than purchase a new set of headers, they changed to a set of drives that would allow the current ones to fit more closely to where Jay wanted them to be.
The Arneson's would have lowered the engines lower than where the 30' Spectre's headers would fit correctly in the 36' Spectre. Nothing more nothing less.
