LOL :D ,You know what's Funny jim? while I was down there cutting a deal for mine, they were building their 33 hull plug in the factory. however, that most likely will be ready next year some time for production. I think you will really enjoy your Concept. Congrats again and if you are ever on the west coast FL let me know.

Hey, just put the Hyperfishing products on a Sonic 30 SS and presto, tons more useable engine hatch space!

Looks cool and is superpractical. Check out my webpage www.hyperfishing.com

Cheers,

I was just mulling over the cost comparison of power.

Steve 1 06-21-2003 09:45 PM

Mike all I was doing was comparing HP to HP you see Years ago there was a project where we were trying to go 6-7 MPG on a 10 meter center console Cat With an inboard Diesel and this Was @ 55 MPH ;

I Also had a source of Engines from Italy (Detroit's at that time real nice people there) 250 HP with gear for under 10 K US But there was no real Market so I shelved it.

RIBS Anyone?

The boat is by Mark Pascoe, Ltd. They build Ocke designs in both RIB's and the V24 Batboat. As an inflatable distributor, we have looked hard at these designs and may become a dealer or buy the molds and build them here. They no longer make this 8Meter, because the 8 has the handling quirk of listing to port until you reach 40mph. Now they have cured that and offer 7, 9, and 10Meter and the styling is more modern (see photos). In a non-stepped hull the 24' Superboat with it's 7' beam would be amenable to attatching pontoons in a RIB design and still be trailerable.
RIB's are enormously popular throught the rest of the world because they are safer, more laterally stable, and feature an air collar that acts as a shock absorber upon re-entry. They go faster with less HP, have far greater load capacities, and can handle big water that even larger boats can't....and you don't need fenders or have to worry about scratching your hull. That's why they're the boat of choice for the world's military and law enforcement.

This 9 meter (31' with tubes), runs 86mph with a pair of 200XS opti's, 98mph with twin 2.5's!! and 68mph with a Yanmar 300 diesel.

QUESTION: Would any of you CC guys consider a RIB for less $$ than a conventional hull with this type of styling and performance??
