I've used Amsoil in the past with good results. Never had a problem with the Merc HP.

I had someone recommend using the same oil that is used in the # 6 drives to run it in a bravo drive when pushing over 600 hp. Thoughts?

One thing about the Merc green it does mix with water. This is a must in my opinion

Good seals matter most.

Did you test your seals with a pressure/vacuum tester before adding in the new lube?

You should ya know.

Hydro I may be reading into your post too much and your right but failure can happen at anytime. This is why I like a lube that will mix, it may save the day if you have a small leak before the next oil change.

I run the mercury green in my #6's and have run it in all of my previous Bravo's without any issues.
