Proably has a special throttle shaft bushing to prevent leaks and the vent tubes are pointed back down into the carb throat. There might be some metering changes too, but I'm not sure.

Marine carbs run richer at part throtle and have the vent tubes that put any flooding fuel into the venturies instead of allowing it to run out onto the engine-fire hazard, you know. If you use a not-marine carb, be sure to check your cruise mixture to be sure you don't melt a motor cruising as well as check full throtle!!
