Default trim tab mounting

Well after spending almost 300 bucks on lines and hardware for my new tabs I am ready to put them on and was wondering if it is better to use silicone or the 3-m 5200

Merk, I have always used 5200 to prevent any leaks........template it, drill the holes, and use resin to seal the holes in the transom so no moisture or water can intrude the transom, fill them with 5200 and through bolt them and you will never have a problem. Hope this helps.

thanks... looks like I have to put it off anyway the bolts I purchased were too short thought. I could get away with 3" but need 3.5, and as always home depot lowes etc dont have them that long. Wish they came with hardware

Actually read an article in power boat where they put K-planes on the same boat and used silicone. I think my old benetts were put on at the factory with the 4200 or 5200, so Ill go that route
