We tried to mount the antennas below deck for the Sirius and the GPS's. They would NOT receive so we had to mount them on the deck. I know that on a non-kevlar boats they work below but they would...

I've got the Clarion CMD4 Sirius Head Unit with a deck mount antenna and love it. Great reception. Dave
