Brand New 29'9 Activator

Re: Brand New 29'9 Activator
Just for comparison, I have not been in an Activator so I can't judge. However, I've seen 94 in my first and only attempt @ 5200rpm. I dyno'd 801HP at 6000rpm so I have some prop work to do. Under $100,000 on trailer. Superboat Y2K is a 31'7" boat.

When I had my Progression, we would get toasted weekly by a Kryptonite AND an Activator in Peconic Bay.....now I'll only race 'em in six footers.....

If you have a chance to snag a DVD of the 2002 APBA Cape Cod race from Freeze Frame, you will not be disappointed. The 27 literally crushed the competition.
Also check out the 2002 Corpus Christi F1 race between BJ and Kowalski. Deck to deck racing while the rest of the group was figuring out their trim settings.
If the 30' Activator is that much better than the 27', it must be spectacular.
There is no doubt in my mind that it is not true.
Damn the six footers! Full Speed Ahead!

Re: Brand New 29'9 Activator
I happened to be in the helicopter at a GLSCS race out of Mentor OH a couple of years ago. Gino and (I'm sorry I forgot the other guys name) had the Red Devil/ Winnebago 27 Activator thier , running F1. At the time I didn't know anything about Activator or even what kind of boat that was . I do remember seeing it just tearing up that water, that boat was so dialed in it was unbelievable that it was only a 27 footer.

Re: Brand New 29'9 Activator
I would just like to clear up a few things. The New 30's is not a 27' with a 2ft swim platform. The whole boat is bigger. More cockpit room, more of a cabin, more bilge room, and the deck is completely different then the 27'. The bottom is also different. If anyone begs to differ please come down to Activator Boats and look for your self or stop down by MRD Motorsports who is their Dealer and does all their rigging work and loook at the boats they have there. The 30's are completely different then the 27'. I also dont see why $140k is too much money for a 30' Boat. Everyone keeps comparing this boat to that boat and so forth and so on but everyone keeps saying that the 30' Activator can outrun any boat in the rough. For 140K you are getting a 30' boat that can run in the rough better then any other boat in its class.... Faster than any other boat in its class with the same power... and CAN BE BUILT ANY WAY YOU LIKE!!! Lets not forget about the FLAWLESS RIGGING that is done as well. Last time I checked the Rigging was flawless!! For those of you who want more bells and Whistles it can be added... Price varies upon how many Bells and Whistles you want. I think some of you are forgetting that if you want more features in the downstares and the cockpit IT CAN BE ADDED!! I dont see the logic behind spending LESS on another boat that cant perform as well as the Activator. What happened to Performance Boats? There is an old saying... "You Spend, You Get." As far as i am concerned when you spend $140 for a Brand New 30' Activator whether you go with a 525 Mercury Package or you go with a Custom Engine... You are buying a REAL piece. You are buying a boat that can handle any type of water... and that can run past any boat in its class!! You are also getting a good looking boat too. Last time i checked thats the point of a performance boat...
