If anyone begs to differ please come down to Activator Boats and look for your self or stop down by MRD Motorsports who is their Dealer and does all their rigging work and loook at the boats they have there. The 30's are completely different then the 27'. I also dont see why $140k is too much money for a 30' Boat. Everyone keeps comparing this boat to that boat and so forth and so on but everyone keeps saying that the 30' Activator can outrun any boat in the rough. For 140K you are getting a 30' boat that can run in the rough better then any other boat in its class.... Faster than any other boat in its class with the same power... and CAN BE BUILT ANY WAY YOU LIKE!!! Lets not forget about the FLAWLESS RIGGING that is done as well. Last time I checked the Rigging was flawless!! For those of you who want more bells and Whistles it can be added... Price varies upon how many Bells and Whistles you want. I think some of you are forgetting that if you want more features in the downstares and the cockpit IT CAN BE ADDED!! I dont see the logic behind spending LESS on another boat that cant perform as well as the Activator. What happened to Performance Boats? There is an old saying... "You Spend, You Get." As far as i am concerned when you spend $140 for a Brand New 30' Activator whether you go with a 525 Mercury Package or you go with a Custom Engine... You are buying a REAL piece. You are buying a boat that can handle any type of water... and that can run past any boat in its class!! You are also getting a good looking boat too. Last time i checked thats the point of a performance boat...
hey Brett is skip your father?

I did say in my first post that my 2 cents really didn't matter I should go down to MRD and check this bad boy out in person. I'm sure it is everything these guys say it is. I also think that a half a million is crazy for a 39 foot boat. You see I'm just cheap
I really didn't mean to get people upset
Sorry about the quote about the size. Show's how much I know.

Regarding a $140,000. boat. Try anything out west here. $140K would be competitive. Fancy azz gel but not built as strong I'm sure. I'm sure the other builders in the N.Y. area will be raising their prices somewhat if Activator can sell theirs. Oil prices went up also.

But you only had a 496 in that boat. If you had a little more power you would have been able to run with the big dogs. If you want to run with the big dogs you have to play with the same power........

I just got back from Activator Land. I even tryed to disguise myself by wearing a Cigarette sweat shirt. The Activator is a real nice boat for the money. You are getting what you pay for. I will also agree that the rigging I have seen on the Activators that MRD has rigged is very neat and clean..
As far as comparing the three builders mentioned (Progression, Activator, and Superboat) they all are different animals and have different qualities that would make a difference to each individual consumer. If you want an entry level Performance Boat you will lean toward the Superboat because of the price. If you want an all out speed machine you will end up with the Activator. And if you want a purely custom piece with creature comforts that the other two can not provide in there 29 or 30 you will buy the Progression..
All a matter of taste and also how you will use the boat.

Didn't really see you guys this Summer....you're probably smarter than everyone else....the bike uses less fuel, you can go more places and use it for more of the year !
I've always liked all the boats our L.I. guys build but both the Activator and Kryptonite continue to prove themselves on the race course as well.
Make sure you and your wife hook up with us next season and spend the day on the boat cruising ( bring your son too )!
Have a great Holiday !

Wes,
I didn't see anybody from Falcon this summer. Where are you guys putting your boats in? As far as using the bike, I was riding last Saturday before the guy came for the boat. It is just a little bit too cold now. Plus riding on the snow isn't fun on 2 wheels
