PS: I love carbon fiber look.
I had mark add that. It is somthing that was taken into cosideration. I wanted it lower but after watching marks. Boat run mark said that's as low as he is putting em lol . They can be trimmed even more if need be.

I have a question about something said earlier. What does the rule limiting the drive height on these hulls accomplish or control?

The bottom of the boat is measure to the center of the drive shaft. Pretty simple....higher drive hight equates to more speed on certain boats certain model boats can run a much higher Dr higher than other boats. So to try to get equility in the class a half inch below the bottom rule was put in the book, and 1 gear ratio.

Understood the measuring aspect of where the drive was based. Amazed they were able to come to that prop shaft height as the equalizer.

thats not a bilge pump pad under the fuel fittings its for the battery boxes. they will be covered by a diamond plate panel just like the sides of the stringers will be.

Limiting the drive height had nothing to do with making sure that the only drive that could be utilized was built by Mercury????? I would like to see what this boat or any boat in this class for that matter, would do with an Arneson bolted on it.

At the time that the rules implemented it was put in the book for the sole reason as explained earlier, there was never any four door conversation about surface drives.

The few teams that have tried it in offshore have not been very successful with it.

Imco is also an approved drive manufacture. The X dimension cant be higher than 1/2 " below the bottom. You can go down as far as you want. I remember seeing a canopied A class boat race years ago (aprox 1999) with a shaft drive on it. It was racing against the Extinguisher Super Boat which at the time was the boat to beat in A class. The smaller shaft boat was putting on a race in the big water at Point Pleasant in a much smaller boat. They may have won that day I don't remember. I believe I remember seeing it on the side of the road in the Key's when we drove down there.
